The Nanocom talks to your truck through a cable, and Land Rovers don't all use the same one. The Range Rover P38 and the Discovery I talk through this one: the green OBDII cable. The black CAN BUS cable that comes with most kits won't work on them.

Every P38 and Discovery I kit already has it in the box. You need this one when a Nanocom that came with the black cable takes on a P38 or Discovery I.

Which trucks use it

• Needs this cable: the Range Rover P38 — GEMS V8, Bosch V8 and 2.5TD diesel — and the Discovery I — GEMS V8 and 300Tdi.
• Works with either cable: the Discovery II, the Defender NAS/50th V8 and the Defender Td5. Whichever cable came with your Nanocom works.
• Won't work: the Defender Puma and the 2005-and-later trucks — LR3, LR4, LR2, Evoque, Range Rover Sport and 2010–2012 L322. They take the black CAN BUS cable.
