The Nanocom talks to your truck through a cable, and Land Rovers don't all use the same one. The 2005-and-later trucks and the Defender Puma talk through this one: the black CAN BUS cable. The green OBDII cable that comes with P38 and Discovery I kits won't work on them.

Every kit except the P38 and Discovery I kits already has it in the box. You need this one when a Nanocom that came with the green cable takes on a CAN BUS truck or a Defender Puma.

Which trucks use it

• Needs this cable: the LR3, LR4, LR2, the Evoque, the 2010–2012 L322, the Defender Puma and the Range Rover Sport (2005–2009 and 2010–2013).
• Works with either cable: the Discovery II, the Defender NAS/50th V8 and the Defender Td5. Whichever cable came with your Nanocom works.
• Won't work: the Range Rover P38 and the Discovery I. They take the green OBDII cable.
