Check your transfer case oil level with just a flashlight!
If your Land Rover has significant mileage on it then you may have some oil leaks from the transfer case. Typically these are not serious and may not be worth the labor required to correct the leaks as opposed to just topping off with oil occasionally. However the Land Rover did not make it easy to regularly check the transfer case oil lever, installing a plug that requires removal to inspect the oil level. Our kit greatly simplify's that task by replacing the factory fill/inspection plug with a sight glass, allowing instant visual inspection of your Land Rover's transfer case oil level. Simply replace the factory plug with our sight glass, then park the vehicle on level ground and inspect the level visually. Also improves removal access if you do need to top off the oil level. Instead of a 1/2 drive ratchet extension which interferes with the parking brake, just a 1-1/8" open end wrench is all that is needed.
