Land Rover Discovery 2 Transmission Oil Level Sight Glass

 Land Rover did not make it easy to regularly check the transmission oil level, installing a plug that requires removal to inspect the oil level AND requiring that the engine be running to check it.  Not my favorite task for a number of reasons (hot exhaust pipes not the least of which).  This sight glass greatly simplifies that task by replacing the factory fill/inspection plug with a sight glass, allowing instant visual inspection of your Land Rover's transmission oil level. Simply replace the factory plug with our sight glass, then park the vehicle on level ground with the engine running (wheels chocked front and rear, parking brake on, transmission in park) and inspect the level visually.  Also improves removal access if you do need to top off the oil level.  Instead of a allen wrench which may be difficult get proper leverage on, just a 3/4" open end wrench is all that is needed.
