With your spare on the outside of the vehicle it really should be under a tire cover. The spare usually gets more weathering than the road tires because of its location to sun exposure and the fact that is is not constantly rotating. I have seen several spares with cracked sidewalls and some even with holes in the cracks where they will not hold air. Growing up I always loved the animal image tire covers I saw on Land Rovers, so in additon to the Extinct Motorsport Engineering logos we have several custom designed animal covers.
