The Nanocom license belongs to the tool, not to a VIN. When you add a vehicle to the driveway, you don't buy a second Nanocom — you buy the unlock for that vehicle and enter it into the unit you already have. Your existing vehicles keep working. The new one appears in the menu.
Extinct Motorsports is the Official US Reseller and US Service Center for Blackbox Solutions: you order here, and your code is checked, applied and supported from Virginia.
On an LR2 that opens every module the truck reports on its CAN bus network — engine, transmission, parking brake, ABS and body systems — plus key programming, and configuration changes and ECU updates through Genesis.
Which are you doing?
▸ Adding this truck to a Nanocom I already own
This vehicle uses one code: the LR2 unlock. It covers the whole vehicle, so you need it whatever else your Nanocom already holds. The only choice is the cable: the LR2 talks through the black CAN BUS cable, which every kit except the P38 and Discovery I kits ships with.
Added codes or the other cable since you bought it? Go by what your unit has now.
If you chose the wrong option: we see what your unit already holds. If you owe more, we contact you before issuing; if you paid too much, we refund the difference.
The Nanocom Unit ID box needs your unit's six-character ID. To find it:
Buying a kit in the same order? Enter NEW and we apply the code to your new unit.
If a vehicle reports "Function Locked" afterward, a code went into the wrong box — each code is numbered and has its own slot. Email us and we'll sort it out.
Only if your Nanocom has just the green OBDII cable. The LR2 talks through the black CAN BUS cable, which every kit except the P38 and Discovery I kits ships with. If yours has only the green cable, choose the option that includes the black cable: it ships with your order, so you don't need to add the cable separately.
Manuals and ECU guides for every vehicle are in our Nanocom Documentation Library.
Don't own a Nanocom yet? Start with a full kit for your truck — LR3, LR4, LR2, Evoque, Range Rover Sport or 2010–2012 L322, whichever you have — and then add more capability if needed.
No. This license covers the 2007–2014 LR2 / Freelander 2 only.
Yes. It runs a vehicle detect first, then shows only the functions this truck has.

The license lives in the Nanocom, not in a VIN. Add a truck once and use it on as many trucks of that model as you like. Add a different one to the driveway later and you buy a license, not a second Nanocom — and if your unit already talks to that truck's engine or body systems, you pay only for the part it's missing.
Buying a Nanocom at the same time?
Order the kit for your first truck — it's activated before it ships, and you can add a second truck right on the kit page. More than two? Add this license to the same order and enter NEW as the unit ID.
Not sure which engine management your truck has? Email extinct@extinctmotorsports.com and we'll confirm before you buy.
