Non-refundable once issued. A code is generated for one specific Nanocom and can't be reissued, reassigned or reused. That's Blackbox's policy and it applies wherever you buy.
The Nanocom license belongs to the tool, not to a VIN. When you add a vehicle to the driveway, you don't buy a second Nanocom — you buy the unlock for that vehicle and enter it into the unit you already have. Your existing vehicles keep working. The new one appears in the menu.
On a 1996–1998 Discovery I V8 that opens the 10AS alarm and immobilizer, ABS/traction control, the SRS airbag system, and fault codes and live data from the GEMS engine.
Which are you doing?
▸ Adding this truck to a Nanocom I already own
This vehicle uses two codes: the Discovery I Systems unlock and the GEMS engine unlock. Choose the option that matches what your Nanocom already holds and you are charged only for the code you are missing.
Added codes to your unit since you bought it? Go by what it holds now, not the kit it started as.
If you chose the wrong option: we see what your unit already holds. If you owe more, we contact you before issuing; if you paid too much, we refund the difference.
The Nanocom Unit ID box needs your unit's six-character ID. To find it:
Buying a kit in the same order? Enter NEW and we apply the code to your new unit.
If a vehicle reports "Function Locked" afterward, a code went into the wrong box — each code is numbered and has its own slot. Email us and we'll sort it out.
Only if your Nanocom came with the black CAN BUS cable. The Discovery I talks through the green OBDII cable, so a unit that started as a P38 or Discovery I kit already has it. If yours came with the black cable, add the green cable to this order.

Don't own a Nanocom yet? Start with a full Discovery I kit — GEMS V8 or 300Tdi, whichever you have — and then add more capability if needed.
Only the Discovery I Systems unlock — your unit already has the GEMS engine unlock. Discovery I Systems needs the green cable; if your unit came with the black one, add the green.
No — the diesel takes its own engine unlock instead of GEMS. With this license already on your unit, an automatic-gearbox 300Tdi needs only that engine unlock, and a manual-gearbox 300Tdi needs nothing more.

The license lives in the Nanocom, not in a VIN. Add a truck once and use it on as many trucks of that model as you like. Add a different one to the driveway later and you buy a license, not a second Nanocom — and if your unit already talks to that truck's engine or body systems, you pay only for the part it's missing.

Order the kit for your first truck — it's activated before it ships, and you can add a second truck right on the kit page. More than two? Add this license to the same order and enter NEW as the unit ID.
