The storage bins in the back of the D2 are super useful for carrying tools, spares, and gear. Unfortunately from the factory they top load only and as such a bit difficult to keep organized. Our storage bin organizational system consist of divider boxes, retention nets, and a kit to enable the bins to open from the side enabling you to easily keep your spares organized and even move from one vehicle to another very quickly.
The partition boxes are transparent to allow you to quickly inspect the bin to make sure all your gear is in place. Two sizes are available, the 5 in deep box is the largest size that will go in through the top with the lid open and the 6 in deep box really maximizes the use of the space in the storage bin but requires the bin sides to be converted to open as well using crab claw latch system. Added bonus, if you are like me - you can easily swap bins from truck to truck with ease.
Both divider bins sizes come with a set of dividers to allow you to customize your compartment sizes.
Because not everything you need to carry will go in to the divider bins, we recommend the perfectly sized cargo net to use when converting your storage bins to side opening - that way you can keep your antifreeze, toolbox, first aid kit, motor oil, and other essentials organized when opening from the side.
